THE DIARY OF THE ANIMIST

Personal project, under development. Illustrated young adult novel. Alice looses her mother at birth and grows up with her grandfather, woodsman Hjalmar, and the trusty horse Amandus. Their lives are ruled by the harsh and sometimes unforgiving elements of northern Sweden and the creatures roaming its thick forests. Coming of age, she learns her very special bond to the trees, plants and animals. Does she have to make a choice; to be part of nature - or to be human? And is that her choice to make?
